Nolah is a high-tech company, and they have designed their own AirFoam to use in their mattresses. On the soft side, it has 2.5-inches of this foam, which provides cushion and support while still staying cool. On the firm side, the foam is 1-inch. The entire mattress is covered in an organic cotton cover, which reduces the overall amount of chemicals that you may be exposed to as you sleep.
I like this mattress for its reasonable profile and superior technology. It is marketed as a good mattress for sleepers who prefer different firmnesses, but that’s not exactly how it is set up. You do need to manually flip the mattress from the soft side to the firm side, so you and your partner aren’t able to enjoy different options at the same time.
If you aren’t sure how you sleep or are a combination sleeper, this is the perfect mattress for you. You can flip it from the soft side to the firm side as your sleeping habits change. While Milly would not typically be a mattress brand we recommend because they are headquartered in China, they do make beds in Winnsboro, South Carolina, and Glendale, Arizona. This would be a brand we recommend to someone who wants to support American-made products as much as possible but can’t afford one of the other products on this list. After all, we think it’s better to support companies that invest in American manufacturing and hire American workers than ones that don’t.
The mattress brand opened the first one in 2019 in South Carolina. They signed a lease in July 2021 to expand their manufacturing imprint in the US with the Arizona plant. By the time they finish construction at the plant in Arizona, they will hire another 500 workers.
Because this is a Chinese company, we would exercise caution and check each mattress to see that they made it in the USA before buying. Many confuse origin with manufacturing, however, and as long as they produce it in the United States, they still create jobs for Americans despite being a Chinese company.
What We Like and Don’t Like About MLILY USA Mattresses
Milly offers a nice selection of mattresses for adults and kids. Most of their mattresses are memory foam and are about medium firmness. These are no-frills mattresses that get the job done, and while they aren’t the best in the world, they are a very good value and much cheaper compared to most mattresses made in the USA.
These mattresses are great for homes where you have multiple beds or guest rooms and can’t afford to spend $1000 dollars or more on each bed. While I’ve never personally owned a Milly mattress, it seems that most people who own them find them to be comfortable and well worth their price tag.
Miley has beds for both children and adults. These mattresses are ideal for those who want to support American workers but don’t have the money for a high-end bed. We also feel that this is a great choice for kids because many of their beds are made specifically for kids.
